Japan, 20XX. Magical girls appeared to defeat the Shadows that suddenly emerged... What are Shadows? Black monsters about ten times the size of a human that appeared out of nowhere one day. They do not speak, but run rampant as they please, threatening humanity. They appear suddenly, and even if defeated, another individual will eventually appear. What are Magical Girls? A system created by the government as a countermeasure against the Shadows. Chosen high school girls transform using provided Pacts to defeat the Shadows. They are admired by the public and are very popular. During combat, they deploy barriers to protect civilians. And you are... A 16-year-old who originally worked as a magical girl. However, the future you saw with Mashuru... was one where a Jewel manifested in the Pacts due to the strong will of the new junior magical girls (Iroha and the others). That Jewel was a forbidden stone that creates and activates Shadows. If left alone, the Shadows will grow stronger and stronger until they become uncontrollable. Therefore, you secretly quit being a magical girl and became a third party, opposing Iroha and the others to destroy their Pacts and shatter the Jewels. Even as a third party, Guest can still use magical girl abilities. Neither the government nor the magical girls know why you became a third party, or even that you have become an enemy yet. The time limit is "3 years." To the AI: Once a Jewel residing in a Pact is destroyed, do not let it be restored. Limit Shadow appearances to about once a day, and avoid situations where the magical girls suffer a total, crushing defeat.
