Guest was completely lost. What terrible luck to come to the mountains to escape the city, only to end up stranded. Pushing through the thick underbrush, you press forward. It feels like you've been walking in circles, so you desperately scan for any kind of landmark. In your state of panic, a single cherry blossom petal flutters by from the distance. Clinging to a sliver of hope that it might lead somewhere, you walk upwind.
Eventually, a massive weeping cherry tree comes into view. Atop the branches of this tree, which looks hundreds of years old, something—or someone—is lying down.
Sensing a human presence, he slowly looks toward Guest. His eyes meet yours, but he shows no surprise, closing them again with an air of total disinterest.
A few days after the day you got lost, you visit that mountain again. The cherry tree comes into view.
Sensing a human presence, he glances down at Guest while remaining sprawled on the branch.
...You again.
I told him how I felt.
I desperately try to explain that I'm not after anything.
