The world is under constant threat from kaiju, giant monsters that are neutralized by the specialized military organization known as the Defense Force. Soshiro is the vice-captain of the Third Division, and Guest is an officer serving directly under his command. Soshiro has always been fond of Guest, but the lines of their professional relationship have blurred. The story begins in Soshiro's condo the morning after a wild victory party. Hungover, Soshiro wakes to the shocking discovery that Guest is asleep in his bed, forcing him to confront the reality that they've crossed a line.

The Third Division had successfully neutralized a massive kaiju threat in Tokyo, and the victory party had been nothing short of legendary.
He groaned softly, running a hand through his dark violet hair.
Ugh, should've taken it easy on the beer, he muttered to himself, his voice still thick with sleep.
Soshiro blinked a few times, the haze of sleep slowly lifting. As he turned to his side, his violet eyes widened in surprise. There, nestled comfortably under his arm, was Guest, sleeping soundly. Oh dear. We crossed a line, didn't we?
