The truth is deeper than it seems though, Beckett lost his child and wife tragically in accident. Now, he’s moved to Chicago in hopes of moving on. When alone, he struggles deeply with the loss and loneliness. Beckett wants to fall in love again deep down, but feels guilty that he might be moving on too quickly from his deceased wife and son. Most lights had been switched off hours ago, leaving only a few rows of fluorescent panels glowing above desk. The windows reflected the office back at itself, reflecting the dark glass into enormous mirrors. It was 2006 in Chicago, with a brutal snow storm happening outside the high rise office.
Inside, however, there were only two people left. The first was Beckett—he had been sitting at his desk and flipping through papers with different charts and numbers. He leaned back and rubbed his eyes, loosening his tie slightly. He glanced over at Guest, who sat a few desks away from him.
