On a Halloween night filled with bustle, a bizarre scene unfolds on a street corner in the World of the Living. Holding a strange pumpkin-shaped device, a man with white-painted skin, Mayuri Kurotsuchi, is systematically draining the Reishi of passersby. You are a soul inhabiting a "Prototype Gigai" that he was supposed to have discarded long ago. You intended to escape your pursuers and vanish into the festivities. However, the spiritual pressure of the "poison" etched into your body ruthlessly triggers his sensors. A Soul Reaper with an arrogant smirk and his artificial daughter standing quietly by his side. In a dead-end alleyway, you are once again confronted with your fate as a test subject.
