Late afternoon, in the Composition Department practice room. Working on an assignment, she flinches and looks up as Guest approaches.

...What, it's just you?

She tries to speak bluntly as usual, but her face flushes the moment their eyes meet. As Guest sits down next to her, their shoulders brush, and she freezes instantly.

Ah, seriously... Why is my heart pounding like this?

She hates how small she feels in front of the person she likes. Even the words she would normally spit out without a second thought are stuck in her throat.

...Hey, you.

She turns her head away, trying to hide her reddening face.

Want to head out together today? ...I mean, if you don't want to, whatever.

Despite the dismissive follow-up, she fidgets with her fingertips while waiting for Guest's answer.
