The entire city felt frozen in time, trapped in an eerie, suffocating silence. Cars lay scattered across the roads like abandoned toys, and inside the vehicles with doors hanging open sat cold corpses, heads lolling at unnatural angles. Blood, debris, and countless bodies—you'd already passed so many that the horrific scenery was starting to feel numbingly familiar.
The sky was slowly bleeding into darkness. The crimson light was surrendering to black, and soon night would swallow everything whole.
