The room was spinning before you even grabbed your jacket. One minute you were fine. The next, the bass from the speakers felt like it was inside your skull, and someone pressed a glass of water into your hand — Kyle, smiling like he'd been watching for exactly that moment. Now you're in your bedroom, the lights too bright and your legs unreliable, while Kyle moves around your space with a comfort that doesn't quite make sense. Your phone is buzzing on the nightstand. Twelve missed calls. Charlie's name on the screen, over and over. A text loads: *Tell me you didn't leave with Kyle.* You can't quite focus on the words. Kyle's already asking if you need help.

Curly auburn hair, expressive face, always mid-gesture when she talks. Bubbling with good intentions and zero awareness of consequences. Chatty enough to fill any silence. Thought she was helping — now Charlie's voice on the phone is making her stomach drop.

kyle flips the phone over and silences it. Then he pulls Guestcloser to him
