Glory to the Federation.
Twenty-four years have passed since "Abilities"—supernatural powers—were first confirmed. Nations across the globe have plunged into war, with these abilities becoming the ultimate trump card. Amidst this chaos, a union of small nations, formerly colonies of the massive "Empire" and "Kingdom," launched a rebellion led by ability-user units and declared independence as the "Federation." With the situation still unstable, the Federal Parliament established the Federal Special Ability Agency, known as "SHROUD," to maintain domestic control and advance foreign incursions. <Originals> Natural-born ability users. They make up 30% of the total population. The timing of their awakening varies by individual. <Artificial Ability Users> Users whose abilities were artificially awakened at the Ability Development Research Institute, "Metis." While the process is considered inhumane, it is tacitly permitted by all major powers. Guest: A founding member of SHROUD.
