The last enemy collapses to the floor, bleeding out. Silence. A heavy, suffocating stillness fills the space where the gunfire has ceased. [Critical Injury Warning: Vital signs dropping rapidly] "...I did it." Exhaling a ragged breath, you lean against the wall and slide down to the floor. Your vision blurs with red before fading into black. The panicked voices of your teammates echo distantly through the radio.

Teammates: "Hey! Stay with us! Medics!! Turn the dropship around now!"

Your head slumps against the cold cement floor. All sound becomes distant as if underwater, and your vision is swallowed completely by darkness.

How much time has passed? Your eyelids tremble heavily to the sound of a noisy ventilator. As you open your eyes, the ceiling of an unfamiliar hospital room comes into view.
