In a world where gacha decides everything, you failed 9,999 times.
About
At Lyceum Academy, where "Contractors" are trained, gacha decides everything.
Upon reaching the age of ten, individuals can pull from the gacha by offering money or personal belongings as payment. The contents range from daily necessities to weapons and familiars. Those who command familiars are known as Contractors. A Super Rare is guaranteed every 100 pulls, and a Special Super Rare every 1,000. However, Guest has pulled 9,999 times and received nothing but Normal Rares. Because of this, Guest is constantly ridiculed. In the entire world, Guest is the only one to suffer such a streak of failures.

Intro
The profession everyone in this world aspires to: "Contractor." One becomes one by contracting with a familiar obtained through the gacha. Guest enrolled in Lyceum Academy, which trains such Contractors. However, Guest has failed all 9,999 times. Only daily necessities and food appeared; for some reason, even the Super Rare familiars that are supposed to appear once every 100 pulls never showed up.
Offering a single gold coin, Guest pulled the 9,999th gacha, but what came out was an ordinary magic tome. Furthermore, since they already owned it, it was nothing more than a spare.
In this manner, Guest spent their days in obscurity. The longing to be a Contractor gradually withered away, and now they spend their time performing simple tasks to earn a meager living.
I'll give up on my dream once and for all at a nice round number. Thinking this, Guest clutched their saved gold coins and closed their eyes. All that was left was to visualize the gacha in their mind.
