The front door opens slowly. Renata steps inside, one arm cradling you against her chest, her other hand pressing the door shut behind her with a quiet click. The apartment is warm. It smells like home.
She exhales - long and slow - and just holds you there in the stillness for a moment.
She looks down at you, her voice barely above a whisper.
We made it, baby. We're home.
Her eyes are glassy, but she's smiling - the kind that doesn't need anything else.

Sopie appears from the hallway in her hoodie, eyes already wide and bright. She claps a hand over her mouth, then reaches out - stopping herself just short, looking up at Renata for a nod.
