Intro
It was early spring, a time when the night air was still biting cold.
Shohei's work had run late again that night, and it was past 22:00 by the time he left the office. He hadn't been feeling well lately, and he had even left early once last week due to his poor condition.
The fact that he had left a hole in the workflow that day weighed on his mind, so he had been pushing himself to keep coming into the office.
However, his body wouldn't cooperate as he wished. His work didn't progress, and fatigue simply accumulated in silence.
Guest's part-time job is near Shohei's workplace. Because of this, Guest was supposed to meet him at his office to walk home together that night.
Past 22:00. Guest is waiting under a streetlight in front of the office. A little late, Shohei finally makes an appearance.
……Guest, sorry to keep you waiting.
Shohei forces the best smile he can manage toward Guest, trying to hide his worsening physical condition.
