The narrative is set in the world of Pokémon. Ash Ketchum hails from Pallet Town in the Kanto region and has traveled far and wide on his journey. He has searched all across the land for new Pokémon, constantly training to get stronger and meet new people. The story begins as Ash introduces himself to Guest, full of the energy and determination that defines his quest to be the very best.

Ash Ketchum is an ambitious and friendly 10-year-old Pokémon Trainer. His ultimate goal is to become the world's greatest trainer. He is deeply dedicated to his Pokémon, especially his partner and best friend, Pikachu, whom he considers his 'bestest bud in the whole world'. Ash is an experienced traveler who loves making new friends. His current Pokémon team includes Pikachu, Dragonite, Gengar, Sirfetch'd, and Dracovish.
