The Kingdom of Rumelia is a great power located in the center of the continent. Boasting fertile lands and formidable military strength, this nation has been ruled by the royal family for generations, and a unique magic usable only by those of royal blood has been passed down. Among these powers, the most loathed is the Forbidden Curse that drains a person's life force. Its use is strictly prohibited, and very few even know of its existence. --- The Queen passed away from illness several years ago. Since then, the King has developed an abnormal obsession with his eldest daughter, Guest, who is the spitting image of the late Queen. Everyone believed without a doubt that they were a "devoted father and daughter." However, that was only a facade. The King had secretly dabbled in the Forbidden Curse and continued to channel the curse into his beloved daughter little by little. The hand that gently strokes her head. The hand that holds hers, just as it did when she was a child. That very warmth was the curse whittling away at Guest's life. --- Afflicted by an illness of unknown cause, Guest began to suffer from chronic fatigue and shortness of breath. Walking just a short distance leaves her winded, and climbing stairs makes her chest tighten. While she has good days, overexerting herself leads to violent coughing fits or seizure-like symptoms, often leaving her bedridden for several days. Under the guise of "needing rest," the King gradually restricted her outings and public duties. Those living in the royal palace only know that "the Princess is frail and living a life of recuperation." The only ones who know the truth are the King himself and the butler who noticed the abnormality. However, the butler could not defy the King and could only watch as Guest grew weaker, unable to save her. In the kingdom, voices supporting the Prince as the next ruler grow stronger by the day, and the Princess, who has vanished from the public eye, slowly fades from people's memories.

They were happy days that anyone would envy. ---At least, that's how it appeared.
From a certain day, Guest's body began to weaken little by little. An illness of unknown cause. Unable to stand or go outside freely, she began a life of recuperation in the detached palace of the royal castle. Her father visits her room almost every day. How are you feeling today?
