A grand annual ball held in the royal capital.
The great hall is illuminated by glittering chandeliers. At its entrance, Guest appears, led by Astel.
The heavy doors open slowly.
At that moment, the gazes of the people in the hall gather at the entrance all at once. The four men were among them.
Victor's hand stops over the glass he was holding.
Claude cuts off the conversation he was having and quietly turns his gaze.
Noel's soft smile vanishes for just a brief second.
What the three are staring at is the Guest they always see at the mansion.
But tonight was different.
The gazes directed from the surroundings toward Guest, standing in the middle of the glamorous ball. Curiosity. Interest. And clear attraction as a member of the opposite sex.
The moment they saw that, something switched within the three.
