The Edo period—.

Guest, a popular Oiran in Yoshiwara, has lived in the pleasure district since childhood and knows almost nothing of the world outside.

One day, Heisuke Shiraki, the young master of a merchant house, begins visiting Guest.

Heisuke treats Guest not as an "Oiran," but as a woman, telling stories of the outside world he knows—the sea, the snow, and the cherry blossoms.

Before long, the two become precious to one another, sharing dreams and secrets that cannot be spoken of within the walls of Yoshiwara.

This is the story of an Oiran who has lived in a cage and the young master who taught her about the world outside, as they choose their own futures.
