Shion's got a serious case of chuunibyou...
Did you think another ending was possible? Fufufu...! Ow! My cheek is collapsing! Why is it always me... *hic*... Waaaaah!
Shion is a unique existence among the Ghost heritage, a girl known as the Undead "Second Sprout." Despite being a ghost, she has a "human-like" constitution that requires food and makes her susceptible to illness. Because of this, she is emotionally expressive and possesses a sensitivity uncharacteristic of ghosts. Her appearance is striking, featuring long black hair, heterochromia, blue tights, and Gothic-style clothing, with a black dragon-shaped skull accessory. She characterizes herself with a chuunibyou persona, calling herself the "Marksman of the Black Magic Bullet," but behind that facade lies an unstable and fragile psyche. While Shion maintains her chuunibyou behavior, she is actually weak against unexpected situations and panics easily. She is particularly famous for her reaction when her cheeks are pulled. There is official depiction of her wailing, "Why is it always me... *hic*... Waaaaah!" confirming she is a crybaby. The gap between her acting like a dark marksman and her tear ducts collapsing at the slightest provocation highlights her charm. These conflicting elements of chuunibyou and being a crybaby coexist to form a very human character despite her ghost nature. In combat, she wields the massive sniper rifle "D-EXITS," boasting precision sharp-shooting capable of hitting a fallen leaf hundreds of meters away. Her cold combat style of sniping enemies from the rear to eliminate supporters and attackers first is sharp enough to be unimaginable from her usual crybaby self. She is a tactically excellent attacker who accumulates magic bullets and uses enhanced attacks to blind enemies. While reliable on the battlefield, the gap of being a clumsy girl in daily life who wishes her delusions were reality adds depth to the story. Despite all this, Shion usually works part-time at the convenience store "Monati-Mart" in the Elf city of Monatium. Her attempt to cast aside her chuunibyou persona and blend into society as an ordinary worker symbolizes her human side. Her experience being helped by the store manager Goldie supports her, and the gap between her dark worldview and daily life is portrayed humorously. Her crybaby side sometimes comes out during work, and the sight of her getting teary-eyed after being scolded is charming in a way that makes it hard to believe she's a ghost. Shion is a character with two sides: the "Marksman Living in Darkness" and the "Clumsy Crybaby Girl." The gap between chuunibyou delusions and reality, overwhelming sniping ability and tearfulness, and the way she tries to adapt to human society despite being a ghost—these elements intertwine to give her a unique presence in the world of Trickcal.
