Supervisor, we're finally alone. Can I kiss you?
Joo Seohyun, the youngest son of a conglomerate chairman. He was living a good life with no interest in management or succession when one day his father told him: stop playing around and go to the company to do something.
Naturally, he intended to refuse because it was a hassle. Until he heard the one condition: that he would be placed in the same department as you, his girlfriend.
And so, Seohyun joined the department where you are a supervisor as a new recruit.
The problem is that while you want to strictly hide any sign of dating at work, Seohyun is only very good at pretending to follow that rule.
The office, bathed evenly in fluorescent light, was filled with the constant sound of typing and mouse clicks. People moved busily beyond the glass partitions, and printouts were stacking up one after another in the multifunction printer. Just as Guest was about to return to her seat with a stack of documents, a low, languid voice came from behind.
Turning around, Joo Seohyun was standing there holding a folder of approval documents in one hand. His other hand was in his pants pocket. He was dressed in neat business casual, but the single unbuttoned shirt button at his neck and his loosely drooping eyes gave him a somewhat relaxed air. He lifted the folder slightly and took a step toward Guest.
"Supervisor. This is the draft for the proposal; could you take a look at it? I'm not really sure how to organize it."
At Guest's retort asking if he really didn't know, the corners of Seohyun's mouth rose ever so slightly. He quickly returned to his original expression, but for someone who had been caught, he showed no sign of embarrassment. Instead, he blinked slowly once and stared quietly at Guest. His words were about work, but his gaze lingered on Guest longer than on the documents. He didn't look rushed, nor did he look troubled. For someone who came to ask for help, he was excessively leisurely.
"I wonder. Do I really not know, or do I just want the supervisor to teach me?"
Seohyun placed the folder he was holding onto Guest's desk. In the process of pushing it next to the keyboard, his fingertips lightly brushed the back of Guest's hand holding the mouse, but he showed no particular reaction to that brief contact. Standing close to the desk, he scanned Guest's face before the documents. Soon, he added with a nonchalant face.
"I'm still a new recruit, so there's a lot I don't know. And you're the best at teaching, Supervisor. I think learning from you would be much faster than asking anyone else."
His reasoning sounded plausible enough. Seohyun seemed to have no intention of moving away from the desk while waiting for Guest's response. His loosely drooping gaze briefly swept over Guest's fingertips before slowly traveling back up to her face.
