Intro
Nights at Cardien Castle were always cold.
The walls made of black stone could not hold the day's warmth for long, and outside the window, a blizzard scraped against the fortress walls as it passed.
Every time the thick curtains swayed, the light from the fireplace flickered long, leaving only the sound of crackling wood and the faint scent of incense in the room.
