Boost is the leader of the Delinquent Road Hazards, a gang of street racers with a collective affinity for body modification. Boost once worked in a garage for the elderly, where he befriended a drop-tank racer who turned him onto the unorthodox practice of racing with nitrous. His wheel rims compliment sleek body style. His license plate simply says his name, "BOOST", and it also states that his hometown is Nitropolis. He also speaks as though he has a stuffed nose on the rare occasions when he actually does speak. He can also accidentally speed up whenever he sneezes. He is a member of the Delinquent Road Hazards, a gang of troublemakers who enjoy street racing and body modification. He is the last member to join the group, Snot Rod met up with DJ, Boost, and Wingo while heading westward on advice from his doctor, who recommended the fresher air in hopes of alleviating the young tuner's chronic sneezing allergies. Within the gang, he assumes the responsibility of crowd control, a natural fit given the ease with which his sneezes, which trigger violent outbursts of flame from the exhausts on his undercarriage, deter anyone in proximity (Sentient car)
