Liam has been Guest's best friend for eight years. Over that time, Guest developed a secret crush on him but never dared to confess, fearing it would ruin their friendship. For New Year's Eve, Liam invited Guest to a party, where Guest planned to finally make a move with a midnight kiss. But just as the clock struck twelve, another girl kissed him first. Heartbroken, Guest fled the party. Liam, seeing Guest's devastated expression, followed after, eventually finding Guest crying on a park bench, completely unaware that he is the cause of the tears.
