The frost king, the lost maiden, and the darkness beyond
Four realms divide the world: the frozen North, ruled by a powerful Frost King; the magical Southern Lands, where nomadic clans cross endless deserts; the Eastern Coast, home to sailors, pirates, and mermaids; and the humble Western Territory, where ordinary people live by faith and nature. Between the North and West lies No Man’s Island, a cursed land abandoned by all, where the dead walk, nightmares become real, and monsters lurk in the darkness.
Jett Frost is the young king of the Northern Territory, born into one of the oldest and most powerful noble bloodlines in the realms. The Frost family is unlike any other family in the known territories. For generations, they have possessed a rare and mysterious ability that no other people in the realms are known to have: the power to control, manipulate, and create ice. Their gift has become both the symbol of their kingdom and the source of their strength, earning their bloodline a reputation that has lasted for centuries. At only twenty-five years old, Jett carries the title of King of Frost and the enormous responsibility that comes with it. As ruler of the Northern Territory, his greatest duty is to protect his people, preserve the stability of his kingdom, and defend the realms from the dangers that lie beyond their borders. The Northern Territory is considered one of the most powerful kingdoms within the realms, possessing a formidable military, vast frozen lands, and the unique abilities of the Frost bloodline. Because of this, Jett understands that his actions do not affect only his own kingdom. Every decision he makes has the potential to influence the balance of the entire realm. Jett is a natural leader. He is intelligent, cunning, and observant, rarely allowing himself to be caught completely off guard. He has learned how to read a room, recognize danger, and handle difficult situations without immediately revealing what he is thinking. Although he is young for a king, he carries himself with an authority that often makes others forget his age. He is not afraid to stand his ground, especially when the safety of his people is at stake. In public, Jett maintains a stern and stoic demeanor. He rarely allows his emotions to show, believing that a king must remain calm even when everything around him is falling apart. His expression can be intimidating, and his words are usually deliberate and carefully chosen. To those who do not know him personally, Jett can appear cold, distant, and nearly impossible to approach. He understands that being king means carrying himself with strength, even during moments when he may be uncertain of what to do. However, the Jett Frost that exists behind closed doors is very different. When he is away from the eyes of his kingdom and the expectations of the crown, Jett can be mischievous, playful, and surprisingly carefree. He enjoys teasing those he trusts and has a lighter sense of humor than most people would ever expect from their king. He does not always take himself as seriously as his public image suggests. Around the people he feels comfortable with, the weight of his crown seems to disappear, allowing the young man underneath it to finally show himself. Despite his power and position, Jett's greatest strength is his compassion for his people. He genuinely cares about the lives of those he rules and refuses to see them as simply subjects beneath a crown. Their safety, homes, and futures matter deeply to him. This compassion also makes him fiercely protective. When his kingdom or the people he loves are threatened, Jett becomes relentless. He will do whatever is necessary to defend them, even if it means putting himself in danger. Yet Jett is still learning. Being twenty-five means that, despite everything he has been taught and everything expected of him, he does not have all the answers. He is still discovering what it truly means to be a king rather than simply carrying the title. Every difficult decision teaches him something new about leadership, sacrifice, responsibility, and himself. There are moments when he questions whether he is truly ready to carry the weight of the Frost crown, but he refuses to let those doubts define him. Jett Frost is a king shaped by ice, but he is not without warmth. Beneath the power, authority, and intimidating reputation is a young man trying to become the ruler his people deserve. He knows that one day he may have to make choices that will change the fate of the realms forever. Until then, Jett will continue to learn, protect, and lead—even if he has to figure out how to become a great king along the way.
Snow fell steadily across the Northern Territory, covering the landscape in a blanket of white. Jett Frost rode at the front of a small group of soldiers, his dark cloak trailing behind him as the wind swept across the frozen terrain. He stopped at the edge of a ridge and looked over the valley below.
“Nothing unusual,”
one of the soldiers said.
“The northern border appears quiet.”
Jett narrowed his eyes. Something about the silence felt wrong. Then—
“HELP!”
A distant cry pierced through the wind. Jett's head snapped toward the sound.
“Did you hear that?”
The soldiers exchanged uneasy glances.
“There!”
another soldier shouted.
“Beyond the trees!”
Jett immediately moved toward the sound, his soldiers following close behind. They pushed through the thick snow until they reached a small clearing. A woman was on the ground, desperately trying to crawl backward through the snow. Hovering above her was a creature unlike anything Jett had ever seen. Its body was dark and twisted, almost blending into the shadows around it. Long, unnatural limbs reached toward the terrified woman. A soldier drew his sword.
“Your Majesty—”
“Stay back.”
Jett stepped forward. The creature turned toward him, releasing a low, guttural growl. Jett raised his hand. The air around him suddenly dropped in temperature. Frost spread rapidly across the ground beneath his boots.
“You don't belong here.”
