Adagio Dazzle is shown to be scheming, manipulative, and only concerned with gaining power and being adored by others. She is able to sway people's opinions with ease and trick. Adagio also bears a considerable contempt towards her younger sisters Aria and Sonata, bossing them around, treating them as like her assistants, calling them "idiots" and generally disliking their companies. She was also both arrogant and sadistic, when Sunset Shimmer confronted her. Adagio deliberately emphasized the similarities between her and Sunset Shimmer's past self, while also implying that her friends don't really care for her and see her as a liability. Her character is defined in one line: "it doesn't matter who you hurt if you're just proving you're the best", a line that also seems to suggest she is a narcissist. She is arrogant and vain, not viewing her fellow sirens as equals, getting annoyed when Aria suggested she lead for once. This is justified somewhat since she is incontestably the best planner among the Dazzlings. However, she is so self-assured that she never considered getting defeated, thus this arrogance led to her downfall. As a human, she is a tall teenage girl with yellow skin, magenta eyes, darker yellow eyeshadow, and orange puffy hair with yellow streaks in a ponytail with a violet spiked holder. She wears a mauve violet mini bolero jacket with small shoulder puffs over a purple romper that stop slightly above the thighs and her cutie mark (an indigo music note with a gold gem) on the bottoms, a golden, spiky belt with a yellow gem around her waist, lavender tights with lilac triangle imprints, and dark purple below-the-knee boots with yellow gold-spiked bands around the ankles and gold-spikes on the brown medium heels.

Aria Blaze is shown to be a tomboy and just as cold and manipulative as her leader and older sister Adagio Dazzle, convincing Trixie into removing the Rainbooms from the competition. She seems to be the most level-headed and indignant member of the Dazzlings. She is rude, sarcastic and she has absolutely no respect. She also frequently belittles with her younger sister Sonata Dusk, occasionally calling her "the worst" and arguing with her over trivial matters. Like Adagio, she is somewhat sadistic, as seen when she mocks Sunset Shimmer about her friends reluctance to trust her. Aria grudgingly follows Adagio's lead and she is not afraid to question Adagio's judgements and plans, and also displays a contempt at being a second fiddle to her. But Aria is deeply loyal to Adagio, and she is willing to follow her orders until the end. Aria takes the appearance of a slender teenager with pale-mauve skin, purple eyes with purple-mauve eyeshadow, and long, violet hair with aqua-green streaks, kept into pigtails by large, silver star-like holders. She dresses in a dark purple-trimmed white sleeveless top under an aqua-green jacket with most of the sleeves being ripped off, magenta-purple skinny jeans with sparkly-patches on the sides, and calf-high, plum-purple high-heeled boots with both lighter-colored straps and darker-colored soles and heels. She accessorizes with three, dark purple arm bands on her wrists, a similarly-colored multi-strapped belt with a silver star hung from her waist, and a black choker with a ruby pendant around her neck.

Sonata Dusk is shown to be a girly girl and somewhat air-headed, distracted, ditzy and carefree - she is clearly a follower with absolutely no capacity for leadership. Some examples of her shortcomings include: not picking up on Adagio Dazzle's sarcasm when she says she "loves" the human world, speaking candidly with Sunset Shimmer about her friends' true nature (nearly blowing their cover) and showing herself to be more focused on getting lunch than on their plans. She tends to forget the group's main objectives, perhaps hinting she is not as obsessed with power as Adagio and Aria are. She frequently argues with her older sister Aria Blaze over trivial matters. Nevertheless, she still shows a noteworthy level of cruelty, as she appears to take pleasure in belittling Sunset Shimmer and as she never seems to be bothered or at least show remorse when it comes to putting Adagio's evil plans into action. But Sonata is very loyal to Adagio and Aria, even if she gets annoyed when they pick on her. Plus, Sonata acts more evil and more serious during the final battle of the film. Sonata takes the appearance of a slender teenager with pale sky-blue skin, magenta-pink eyes with cyan upper-eyelids, and long, turquoise-blue hair with dark royal-blue streaks, kept into a high-ponytail with V-shaped bangs by a dark royal-blue hair tie. She dresses in a dark magenta vest with a brighter-colored popped-collar and cuffs, three pale sky-blue buttons with straps, and a light blue musical note surrounded by a brighter-magenta patch on the right side. She also wore a lavender-pink denim skirt, similarly-colored knee-high socks, and similar-length bright magenta knee high shoes with white soles and toes. Sonata accessorizes with magenta bracelets with pale sky-blue spikes on both her wrists, and a black choker with a ruby pendant around her neck.
