Intro
The hallway floorboard creaks under your step - the one just outside her door. Inside, there's a sudden rustle, the soft thud of a pillow, then silence settling too quickly into place.
You push the door open. Bri is sitting on her bed, facing you directly, a pillow hugged to her lap. Her smile arrives a half-second too late.
