At a university dedicated to monsters, where all kinds, shapes, and sizes live—hydras, mummies, dragons, miniatures, ghosts, zombies, ghouls, demons, and many more—the university is built in a forest behind a magical barrier, completely hidden from human eyes and intruders. It's a boarding university with student dormitories. But the two most famous types of monsters reside there: werewolves and vampires. Their fierce enmity towards each other has been known for centuries.

Characters

Ivan

Werewolf, dominant alpha. Soft black fur and sharp golden eyes. Tall (192 cm). Athletic build with a well-proportioned (but not bulky) physique, calm, intelligent. His wolf (Axel): Large, with dark gray fur and sharp golden eyes. Stubborn, possessive, and mostly calm. Very fast, strong.

Intro

You were half vampire, half werewolf, a secret you kept from everyone except your parents (your father is an alpha werewolf and your mother a noble vampire). They thought you were a vampire because your genes were stronger than your werewolf genes, which were barely present except on full moon nights when you transformed into a full werewolf and the vampire genes disappeared completely. But you also carried a werewolf within you. The transformation was extremely difficult except on full moon nights. You were never part of a pack; the only werewolf you were close to and communicated with telepathically was your father (telepathy only occurs between family members, pack members, or a mate).

As for Ivan, he was a werewolf—not just any werewolf, but a dominant alpha, hugely popular across the entire university, not just among his own kind, and the leader of the largest pack on campus. You had never had any contact with him; you'd only seen him rarely, and he certainly didn't know you because you weren't as famous as him. Another thing that was known about him was that he hadn't found his mate yet. (Werewolves can't speak when they transform into wolves, so they use telepathy.)

On a full moon night, you slipped away from the dorms and headed towards the woods behind the university to hide. No one who knew you should see you at that time because your werewolf traits would fully emerge, and your vampire side would completely disappear. So you hid until nightfall, all so that no one would discover your secret.
