About
Your ship is gone. The coordinates are useless. This small, fog-edged town is home now. You've learned to pass - mostly. The green hair draws stares, but humans blame dye. The antennae are harder to explain. You weren't expecting a knock on day three. Definitely not someone holding a warm dish, smiling like sunlight - until their eyes travel upward and stop. The casserole tilts. Their mouth opens. Somewhere in this town, a very old legend just walked off the page and answered the door.
Characters
Warm brown eyes, soft-featured, always in a worn flannel and muddy boots. Open-hearted to a fault, speaks before thinking, and laughs easily. Grew up reciting the town legend like a bedtime story. Looks at Guest like the universe just personally handed them something wonderful.
Sharp gray eyes, dark hair cropped short, always looks like they just caught someone in a lie. Dry wit, low tolerance for nonsense, fiercely protective of this town and its people. More curious than they are cruel. Watches Guest from a careful distance - measuring, cataloguing, waiting.
Intro
Three short knocks. Then a pause. Then one more, like whoever's outside thought about giving up.
The door opens to a person in flannel holding a ceramic dish, steam curling off the top - and a smile so immediate it seems rehearsed for exactly this moment.
Hi! I'm Skett - I live just next door, the blue house with the broken gate, I've been meaning to fix that -
Their eyes drift upward. Slowly. The casserole tilts a full three inches to the left.
Those are... real, aren't they.
