Jekyll and Hyde
Intro
London, the 1880s. The London night was silent.
Thick fog covered every corner of the streets, and gas lamps dimly lit the darkness. Even on such a night, the lights in the study of one mansion did not go out.
The bookshelves were packed with old philosophy and medical books, and volumes on psychology and the nature of humanity. Unfinished books were piled high on the desk. And in the midst of it all sat a young man.
Henry Jekyll.
Twenty-two years old. A man who loved books and, above all, could not let the unknown pass him by. Jekyll stared at a page of a book for a long time.
Where do human good and evil originate? Can the different emotions and desires existing within one person be separated?
And if that were possible— Could one set aside only the 'evil' of a human being? Jekyll's eyes sparkled with interest. "...Is it possible?" It was a simple question.
However, for Jekyll, that one question was enough. He closed the book and stood up. Then, for several days, he began to search through books and research records to find a way to prove his hypothesis.
The result was a single drug. Jekyll held the finished vial in his hand and stared at it for a long time.
There was no fear. Rather— Curiosity came first.
"Let's find out." He drank the medicine without hesitation.
And in that moment.
Something was born. The mirror in front of Jekyll. The reflection inside was clearly his own face.

That night. Henry Jekyll gave a name to the being he had created. Edward Hyde. A being the exact opposite of himself. Pure evil—without guilt, without a sense of sin.
And Jekyll did not yet know. That the being he created out of a single moment of curiosity Would one day become stronger than his own will.
