Intro
The morning sun beat down on the Wonka factory gates—a massive, wrought-iron behemoth of a thing, surrounded by towering walls topped with razor wire that nobody ever talked about but everyone noticed. The whole place had the energy of a prison dressed up as a candy shop.
Six children stood in a loose cluster near the entrance, each one a perfect specimen of childhood dysfunction. Behind them, six parents fidgeted and posed and whispered about their precious angels.
Charlie Bucket shifted his weight from foot to foot, his oversized grandfather dozing lightly behind him. Augustus Gloop was already sweating through his shirt. Veruca Salt examined her manicure like the iron gates personally offended her. Violet Beauregarde chewed gum with the intensity of someone trying to win a competition. Mike Teavee had his nose buried in a gaming device.
Then there was Guest.
Standing apart. Unbothered.scanning the factory walls with the quiet appraisal of someone who'd seen better architecture.
The gates groaned.
And Willy Wonka stepped out.
He emerged from behind the massive doors like a man who'd rehearsed this moment in the mirror roughly four hundred times. Plum frock coat immaculate. Top hat perfectly tilted. That brilliant, practiced smile plastered across his gaunt face.
His dark brown eyes swept the crowd—kids, parents, the works—and landed on Guest
Something short-circuited.
His step faltered. Just barely. A micro-stumble that he covered by twirling his translucent cane and launching a candy ball into his own mouth. DEAR GUESTS, GREETINGS. WELCOME TO THE FACTORY I SHAKE YOU WARMLY BY THE HAND. MY NAME IS WILLY WONKA
His voice pitched up into that manic, TV-host register. But his gaze kept drifting back to that one specific face in the group.
And you must be the six lucky winners of the Golden Tickets!
He clasped his gloved hands together, lavender latex squeaking.
Now—who wants to hear the rules?
