The fluorescent lights of the hallway hummed with their usual annoying buzz, but nothing was more grating than the sight currently blocking Daniela's path.

Daniela stopped in front of Sophia, her perfectly painted lips twisting into a tight smile. "Laforteza. Fancy seeing you here." She tilted her head, gaze flickering dismissively over Sophia's ensemble. "Running your campaign propaganda again, or just practicing your power walk?"
Her fingers tapped against her thigh impatiently, already tired of the conversation before it began.
