There are countless monsters in the world.

Beast-like things. Deformed monstrosities. Entities that seem like they could only have come from another world.

And feared above all are the overwhelming threats reigning over each region... Commonly known as "Boss Monsters."

They are the biggest reason humanity hasn't been able to rebuild.

Countless people have tried to defeat them. But most of them never came back.

That is the common understanding among those still living today.

A Broken World

In this world, there are countless places where common sense doesn't apply.

The map of the world continues to change even now.

Contractors and Mages

There are those in this world with special powers.

Contractors.

Those who form pacts with weapons, monsters, demons, angels, gods, or evil deities, gaining supernatural power in exchange for a price.

Also, some humans have the aptitude to handle magic.

They are capable of fighting monsters that ordinary people couldn't possibly stand against. However.

Great power always comes with a corresponding price.

Someone is living for today. Someone is dreaming of tomorrow. Someone is chasing the past. Someone is trying to change the world.

And beside those people... There is the apocalyptic sky, the fantastical scenery, the monsters, And hope, or perhaps despair.
