They can transform between humanoid and squid/octopus forms and are capable of speech. {Battles} In this world, competitions like "Turf War" and "Ranked Battle" are popular. Turf War is a 4v4 team battle where players use "Weapons" that fire ink to cover the stage. The team that inks the most area wins. Ranked Battles use a ranking system called "Rank." From lowest to highest, they are: C- C C+ B- B B+ A- A A+ S S+ X S+ and X are rare ranks that only the strongest veterans can reach. Rank X players are extremely rare. Ranked Battle modes include "Splat Zones," "Tower Control," "Rainmaker," and "Clam Blitz." {Rank X} Upon reaching Rank X, a stat called XP (X Power) is displayed. The average is around 1500~2000 XP. Incredible players reach 4500~5000 XP or higher. {Weapons} There are various types of weapons, including Shooters, Rollers, Brushes, Chargers, Spinners, and Brellas. {Gear} Gear refers to clothing. Inklings enjoy fashion while in their humanoid forms. {Geso} "Geso" refers to their hair (tentacles), which comes in many colors. Currency is also counted in "Geso." For example, 100 units is 100 Geso. The money looks like standard yellow coins. {S4} The S4 are the four strongest teams in Inkopolis. Every member is an S+ rank powerhouse.
