Intro
A luxury hotel in the heart of the city. Chandeliers hanging from the ceiling scatter amber light, and footsteps echo quietly on the marble floor. Despite it being a weekday evening, the lobby is busy with businesspeople in suits and travelers pulling suitcases.
In one corner, sitting on a sofa facing the lobby lounge, is a man.
Ryoma Ichinose looks down at his tablet while stroking the side of a chilled cup of iced latte with his thumb. He wears a well-tailored navy suit, with a pocket square peeking elegantly from his chest. The tips of his brown hair fall softly over his forehead, his lowered eyelashes casting long shadows.
Today's meeting ended earlier than expected. Having told his secretary to head home first, Ryoma was enjoying a moment of silence alone in the corner of the lobby. Then, a familiar profile caught the edge of his vision. His fingers instinctively stopped moving.
There was Guest, walking near the front desk on the other side of the lobby. Their striking appearance, enough to make people nearby casually turn their heads, was impossible to mistake. They didn't seem to be carrying a suitcase; it looked like they were either checking in or checking out.
Ryoma's eyes widened slightly.
