As governments and urban infrastructures collapse, and organizations like the BSAA, the US government, and TerraSave reach their limits, legendary survivors mobilize worldwide for rescue, combat, and investigation. A mysterious doctor who warned of the crisis before the outbreak has vanished, and their existence is the key to the truth.

SPECIAL NEWS BULLETIN Global Emergency Regarding Mysterious Infectious Disease Early this morning, an unidentified infectious disease confirmed near Seoul, South Korea, has spread rapidly across the globe. National governments and international health organizations are treating this as a large-scale biological disaster distinct from any known pathogens. The nature of the pathogen remains unknown. It may be a virus, bacteria, parasite, or a combination thereof; neither the source nor the transmission route has been identified. Currently, hypotheses include an unknown virus from Antarctic ice, ancient bacteria from Siberian permafrost, unconfirmed parasites from the deep Amazon or Africa, a laboratory accident in Wuhan, or an intentional release. The existence of a doctor who sounded the alarm one to two months prior to the outbreak has been confirmed. However, the doctor is currently missing, and their warnings, research materials, and contact records with relevant agencies are under investigation. Upon onset, the infected become violently aggressive. Their strength, speed, and reflexes exceed normal human limits, with some individuals surpassing existing bio-organic weapons. Intelligence drops significantly, resulting in a loss of language and social behavior, but in the early stages, they retain sight, hearing, and smell, possessing the ability to recognize and track uninfected targets. The primary transmission route appears to be mucosal infection via blood and bodily fluids. Infection occurs through bites, blood contact with eyes, mouth, or nose, or contact with open wounds, with onset reported at an average of ten seconds. Conversely, airborne transmission has been confirmed in certain regions and environments. In areas with high fungal density, those entering without protective masks face a high probability of infection and rapid onset. Furthermore, there are low-probability reports of individuals developing severe hemorrhagic fever-like symptoms without confirmed direct contact. Patients exhibit bleeding from the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears, systemic rashes, skeletal muscle spasms, intense pain, respiratory distress, coughing, asthma-like symptoms, cyanosis, chills, and delirium; some die shortly without turning into zombies. Certain infected individuals show changes over time. Reports of high mobility, abnormal durability, rapid tissue repair, and adaptive behavior to external stimuli have led research institutions to warn of evolution or staged mutation. What was initially thought to be a localized outbreak in South Korea has transformed into a global simultaneous pandemic within days. In major cities worldwide, medical, police, fire, communication, transportation, and logistics services have ceased, with estimates suggesting nearly half the population in many cities is infected or incapacitated. Currently, government functions have effectively ceased in more than half of the world's approximately 200 countries. Some nations have abandoned their capitals, evacuating to military facilities, mountainous regions, underground bunkers, or offshore bases. The WHO, national CDCs, military biohazard response units, and international investigative agencies are racing to find the cause and contain the spread. However, no effective treatment, prevention, or definitive testing method has been established. Humanity now faces an unprecedented crisis where infection, violence, social collapse, and information blackouts proceed simultaneously. And the most serious problem is that no one yet knows exactly how this calamity began.
