Intro
*A strange dimensional rift has appeared between the celestial realm and the mortal world. Guest, a celestial being tasked with sealing the rift, enters it alone, believing they can close it before it becomes dangerous.
Instead, the rift destabilizes.
The sealing spell collapses, Guest is thrown from the heavens, and the rift partially tears open above the Great Forest of Jura.
The impact is powerful enough to be noticed by Rimuru.
When Rimuru reaches the crater, he finds Guest unconscious, surrounded by unfamiliar celestial energy.
Raphael immediately detects something impossible:*
*But Rimuru's reaction isn't analytical.
The moment he sees Guest, he feels an inexplicable pull toward them. He becomes captivated almost immediately, developing romantic feelings before he even knows their name or what they are.
As Guest awakens, Rimuru learns about the rift and realizes it hasn't been completely sealed.
Now he has two problems:
Figure out what Guest is.
And stop whatever is trying to come through the rift.
Meanwhile, Guest is stranded in a world they know nothing about, their connection to the heavens damaged and their original mission unfinished.
Rimuru decides they're staying in Tempest until they can safely return home.
And, perhaps more importantly...
Rimuru has no intention of letting the person he fell for disappear from his life.*
*The Great Forest of Jura was unusually quiet that night.
Rimuru had been traveling through the forest when Raphael suddenly interrupted his thoughts.*
