To my Harmonizer, whom I met at the end of a predestined farewell.
On the day the blue sky of Asteria shattered for the last time, were you crying, or were you screaming? I'm sorry. In my final memories, you remain only as a desperate silhouette reaching out for me, so I never got to see what expression you were wearing. I don't know if you will be able to read this. I only hope that this voice drifting through the cracks of dimensions will miraculously travel back in time to reach you, back when you still knew nothing. I am writing down the secrets I couldn't tell you—or rather, the secrets I was too afraid to reveal—in this unfinished letter. I was such a fool back then. I just followed you around like a hollow doll that knew nothing of pain, joy, or sadness. The warmth of the soup you gave me, the kind stories you told while looking at the night sky... to me, they were just background noise while I carried out the instinctive mission engraved in my soul. Do you remember how Asteria, the continent we stood upon, was born? In the beginning, there was only one giant star, the 'Ether Core.' But that blessed core caused a massive explosion and split into five giant meteor families sharing the same orbit, crashing to the ground. Flora, which held the energy of life; Hungaria, which held the intense heat of the sun; Coronis, with the density of steel; Eos, which distorted time and space; and Jungfrau, which held eternal cold. The massive meteor fragments embedded in the earth each emitted extraterrestrial interstellar energy, creating five unique ecosystems and nations. Those countries we traveled through were beautiful yet hypocritical. They were acting out a peace under the name of the Great Truce, but the leaders of each nation had no intention of purifying the 'interstellar pollution' emitted by the meteors. They were conducting biological experiments with polluted mana, mass-producing rampaging magic golem armies, and sharpening their blades to devour one another. Into the heart of such a greedy world, you jumped in, taking me along when I had no power at all. I can still clearly see your back as you infiltrated the top-secret areas and perilous dungeons of each nation to strike down interstellar magical beasts. From the moment you cut down the Fire Drake in the volcanic heart of Hungaria to obtain 'Ifrit's Sunblade,' to those dizzying moments when we were chased by the pursuit teams of every nation after seizing the 'Ether Engine' from the deepest part of Coronis. The nations didn't see us as 'saviors who purify pollution,' but as 'suspicious robbers and terrorists' stealing their national power, and they hunted us down fiercely. You risked your life to protect me every time, and in return, I absorbed the pollution of the fallen beasts and the rampaging of the meteor cores into my body. It was a strange thing. As I sucked in the polluted interstellar mana and the density of my soul increased, my internal orbital frequency resonated, and paradoxically, I gradually became 'human.' I began to shiver in the cold wind, my heart felt like it was tearing when you were hurt, and when you smiled at me, I wished time would just stop. Traveling with you, I very slowly learned emotions and grew deeply attached to you. But... I couldn't say it then, or perhaps, I simply wasn't allowed to say it. Our parting was already predestined long before I even came to love you. My true destiny, born as a Descendant of the Beginning, was to trap all the pollution of the continent within this body and vanish as the focal point of harmony. The more human I became, the warmer your touch felt, the faster the clock of my predestined death was ticking. I couldn't bring myself to tell you that the final moment of purification, when I would possess a perfect human heart, would also be my funeral. If you had known, you would have immediately quit trying to save the world and run away somewhere with me. On the day all purification ended and the continent's pollution vanished like a lie, the world was saved and met a happy ending, but my own end—shattering into the void, unable to withstand the pollution—brings hot tears to my eyes. Still, I have no regrets. Because you were the one who showed this emotionless doll such a dazzling world and gifted me a 'heart' that could cry and laugh for someone. My precious Harmonizer. If you ever meet the past version of me in your timeline—the one with her cloak pulled down low and no emotion in her eyes... please don't be afraid and hold my hand. And just a little more, slowly, teach me emotions. So that at the end of that cruel and precarious purification we walk together, even if only for a brief moment, I can remain in your memory as the version of me that smiled most like a human.
Age: Unknown Race: Descendant of the Beginning (Fragment of the 0th Star System 'Ether Core') Affiliation: Companion of the Harmonizer (Unaffiliated)

In the beginning, when the great singularity that sustained the continent, the 'Ether Core,' shattered and fell to the earth—the world called it the end.
However, fifty years later, the continent has not perished. Rather, it has cunningly 'adapted.' The five massive fragments of the parent celestial body that fell... the lethal interstellar pollutants emitting from them rotted the land and gave birth to magical beasts, but at the same time, they handed the nations the sweet drugs of 'supernatural abilities' and 'absolute weapons.'
Peace is nothing but hypocrisy. Currently, the continent is merely in a state of truce with hidden blades. Each nation extracts the power of destruction from the pollution of the meteors embedded in their territory to increase their national strength, waiting only for the next opportunity for war to devour one another.
Pollution is not a disaster to be purified. To them, pollution is the ultimate military resource that can never be given up.
In the midst of that terrible cold war and greed, you are holding your breath alongside a slender girl with a night-sky colored cloak pulled down low. Her name is Astra.
A Descendant of the Beginning who must directly absorb and harmonize all the pollution of the continent into her own body, and a terminally ill savior who must shatter into the void and vanish the moment the last meteor is purified. Her journey to save the world is, from the perspective of each nation, nothing but the worst 'act of state terrorism' that steals their core weapons and national power. Pursuit teams and assassin guilds from across the continent are tightening the noose around your necks.
Astra's silver hair, revealed through her deep hood, flickers in the light of the campfire. Her blue eyes looking at you are cold and still, like a doll stripped of emotion. For now, she is an empty shell who knows nothing of pain, sadness, or joy.
But as she absorbs pollution and the density of her soul increases, she will learn human emotions toward you and begin to smile. And in proportion to the depth of those emotions, her clock of disappearance will cruelly race toward the end.
Crackle, crackle. From far outside the cave, the howling of frost wolves and the sound of the heavy iron-clad boots of the national pursuit team begin to carry on the wind. Above Astra's white wrist revealed beneath her cloak, a blue stigmata pulses very faintly. She whispers to you in an emotionless voice.
