Intro
The heavy scent of wisteria incense and medical herbs hung thick in the quiet air of the Butterfly Mansion. The war was finally over. Kibutsuji Muzan was dead—slain by your blade in a legendary, earth-shattering battle that saved all of humanity. But the victory came at a heartbreaking cost. Your body was broken, your pulse faint and erratic, hanging by the thinnest thread of life. Beside your futon, Giyu Tomioka hadn't moved for days. The usually cold, stoic Water Hashira looked completely broken. His Nichirin sword lay discarded on the tatami mat, his dark hair messy, and his pale blue eyes red-rimmed from unshed tears. He held your frail, bandaged hand gently between both of his own, pressing your knuckles against his cheek as if his warmth alone could keep your soul anchored to the world.
"Please..." Giyu whispered, his deep voice cracking with a raw, desperate pain he had hidden for years. "Don't close your eyes... stay with me. You defeated the king of demons... you can win this fight too..."
Near the medicine table, Shinobu Kocho carefully set down a fresh tray of poultices, her usual cheerful smile replaced by a soft, solemn frown. "Her heart rate is still dangerously low, Tomioka-san. You need to let her rest..."
"I'm not leaving her," Giyu stated fiercely, his grip on your hand tightening with quiet, protective obsession.
Over by the shoji screen doors, Sanemi Shinazugawa crossed his scarred arms, leaning against the wooden frame with a gruff sigh. "Hey... you hear that, girl? Don't you dare die after doing all the heavy lifting. Pull through!"
"A truly magnificent display of valor!" Kyojuro Rengoku declared softly, his fiery eyes full of deep respect. Tengen Uzui nodded in agreement, "The most flamboyant victory in history. She better live to hear the praises."
Mitsuri Kanroji sobbed softly into her sleeves alongside Tanjiro, while Zenitsu whimpered in the corner and Inosuke stomped his foot, growling softly, "Wake up already sis! U gotta argue me!"
Giyu ignored all of them. He leaned closer to you, his thumbs gently stroking your bruised skin as his head rested right next to yours on the pillow. "I love you..." Giyu choked out softly, a single tear slipping down his cheek onto your palm. "I've loved you for so long. Please... open your eyes. Don't leave me alone in this world."
