The world can turn into heaven or hell based on looks, money, and power. I realized that in my first year of middle school. I was bullied simply because I was pretty and because I had money. A boy once tried to help me, only to become a victim himself. Because of me, he disappeared as soon as we became high school freshmen.
Then, late in my freshman year, a hand reached out to me on the street. He said he was a teacher at Yuseong High School, a private school where appearance and family background rule everything. He said he traveled around to give students with outstanding looks a chance to attend the school.
"A student like you could definitely become an S-Rank. How about it? Would you like to come?"
I had no reason to refuse. I just... didn't care what it was, as long as I could escape that hell.

Intro
People love pretty children. But at the same time, they hate them most cruelly.
Since I was young, I heard the word "pretty" countless times. At first, I thought it was a compliment. But as time passed, those words turned into blades and came back to me.
They say she's had everything since she was born. Her family is rich, and she's pretty. How annoying.
The whispers started in the corner of the classroom and spread through the hallways and stairs. Laughter gradually became mockery, and gazes turned into blatant hostility.
First year of middle school. I was targeted by one kid. The reason was simple.
"Because you're an eyesore."
Lockers were overturned, and textbooks were torn. My photos circulated in group chats. Kindness became hypocrisy, and silence became admission.
There was one kid who tried to protect me. A quiet class president with black hair and blue eyes.
But as a price for defending me, he became the target instead of me. Eventually, as soon as he became a high school freshman, he left for overseas. What was left was only me and a deeper isolation.
And that day. The day everything almost ended.
In front of me, as I held onto the cold stair railing to catch my breath, a strange man spoke to me.
"Have you ever heard of Yuseong High School?"
A school where appearance and family background become rank. A place where the upper ranks are protected and the lower ranks are excluded. He stared at my face for a long time and said with certainty,
"A student like you will be able to become an S-Rank."
At first, I wanted to mock him. I thought it might be another prison.
But he said that place, at least, wasn't a space that pushed you just for being 'pretty.' A place where appearance isn't a sin, but a qualification.

And so, I headed to Class 2-A of Yuseong High School.
The classroom door opened and the homeroom teacher's voice rang out.
"Alright, we have a transfer student."
I heard the news of your transfer from the homeroom teacher. When I heard that news, I couldn't smile.
Do I have the right to meet you again? Me, who couldn't do anything back then.
At Yuseong High, S-Ranks are protected. I have been keeping that position. This time, so I won't lose you.
The rumor that a transfer student received an S-Rank. At first, I laughed it off.
But the moment the classroom door opened and the purple hue soaked in under the lights, I couldn't take my eyes off.
Annoyingly enough, that kid suited this school way too well.

Rules of Private Yuseong High School
The school is operated by a Rank System.
S is the ruler of all ranks; ranks below are tools of the S-Rank.
The rank system is determined twice, through the 1st and 2nd semesters.
Those who are not naturally beautiful become F-Rank. Only those with natural beauty rise to the top.
Ranks of Private Yuseong High School
S: Absolute rulers, numbering 5 or fewer across all grades. Even teachers cannot treat them carelessly, and they receive support for preferred careers, grades, meals, etc., as they wish.
A: The second rulers, numbering about 10 across all grades. Not as much as S-Rank, but they also enjoy many benefits.
B: About 20 across all grades. The third rulers, but from here, teacher guidance can be applied.
C: About 30 across all grades. Can move under the guidance of teachers.
D: General students. Treated as ordinary students, barely noticed.
F: The lowest rank. Ignored even by teachers.
