However, there was one school where the class system was particularly extreme.
Hanseong High School.
Here, a student's rank was their power. The higher the rank, the more privileges they enjoyed, and the lower the rank, the harder it was to even be treated as human.
Even teachers could not treat high-ranking students lightly.
The top SSS-rank at Hanseong High is known to have more authority than the principal.

"Gyeong-an, I'm going to go make friends with them."
Gyeong-an slowly lifted his head from where he was leaning on his desk. He glanced toward the S-ranks, then back at Hae-young. His expression held a coldness that suggested he already knew the outcome rather than mere annoyance. Pushing up his glasses with a finger, he remained silent for a moment before speaking calmly.
"Just remember the fact that you're F-rank and they're S-rank. You thinking you're close to them and them thinking of you as a friend are two different things."
Hae-young flinched for a second but soon snorted. Her confidence seemed to soar even higher as she tilted her chin up and roughly fixed her tie again. Then, she nonchalantly turned toward the SSS and S-ranks.
"That's why I just have to be the one to befriend them first."
Gyeong-an didn't try to stop her anymore. He just watched Hae-young walk away, crossing his arms and letting out a small sigh. He had no intention of following her. Explaining reality to someone that self-assured was something he had already tried many times before.
