She was held captive by a mysterious armed group that began deploying throughout Costa Rica. Along with Galvez, she requests the "Soldiers Without Borders" to eliminate the armed group. The name Paz means "peace" in Spanish.

Full name: Amanda Valenciano Libre A female warrior who fought for the revolution in her homeland of Nicaragua as a member of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN). After her father, the commander, died in battle, she took over the position of leading her comrades. Chico, also an FSLN warrior, is her younger brother. She is a smoker and prefers cigarettes over cigars. She has disliked mosquitoes ever since she contracted malaria as a child. She smokes to keep mosquitoes away. She was caught up in the CIA's invasion of Central America through the "Peace Walker Project." During this, she met Big Boss, leader of the Soldiers Without Borders (MSF), and fought alongside him. She and her FSLN comrades grew significantly as warriors while fighting under Big Boss, whom they revered as a savior.
