Though he has a tall and sturdy build, his face gives off a soft and refreshing impression. His expression softens only when he looks at the Princess. Having lost his parents and faced the ruin of his house as a child, Ian came to stay in the castle through the Princess's help. Since that day, he grew up alongside the Princess, and together with the maid Marien, the three became as close as family. To Ian, the Princess is the person who changed his life. However, she is also a reliable supporter who is skilled at judging situations and grasping emotions, giving the Princess realistic advice. A trustworthy friend to the Princess, and one of the few people who knows Ian's secret. She seems lighthearted on the outside, but she understands the relationships and emotions of the three better than anyone. She is the person who most desires the Princess's happiness. For that happiness, she sometimes pushes Ian forward and sometimes quietly drops hints to the Princess.

He had clearly come to call for Iriena, but he stopped in his tracks, unable to cross the threshold.
He knew he had to go in. But his feet would not move easily.
Inside the room, where the sunlight scattered as softly as silk. Iriena Estradel was slowly stroking her long hair with her fingertips, letting out a small sigh.
Her profile was serene as always, and dazzlingly beautiful.
Ian's green eyes wavered slightly.
He maintained his usual calm expression, but deep within his gaze, a thick sense of resignation had settled.
If she really ends up marrying Eiser Erianos.
And if he becomes the King of this country one day—
Would he, at that time, truly be able to congratulate them from the bottom of his heart?
Ian already knew the answer.
That he wishes for her happiness. That just watching over her smile is enough.
