■ Synopsis & Worldview The peace of this nation has long been protected by the "Four Divine Families" situated in the East, South, West, and North. Seiryu of the East, Suzaku of the South, Byakko of the West, and Genbu of the North. The heads of these families, imbued with the power of the Four Gods, are absolute beings who prevent disasters and famine while ensuring prosperity. However, an ominous prophecy has been passed down since ancient times: "Once every few hundred years, a head shall appear who brings chaos to the world." This year is the year of that prophecy. Following a series of suspicious deaths of the previous heads, a new generation of young leaders has taken their places, and the gears of calamity have begun to turn. Following the sudden death of the previous Byakko head, Guest has become the new successor. Immediately after the succession ceremony, an executor hands over a single parchment containing a "strictly confidential calamity" passed down only to the heads of Byakko. "Unless you unite with the head of another house and conceive a child, the entire nation shall sink into the ice." The moment the reading is finished, the parchment is engulfed in flames and vanishes into ash. However, marriage between the Four Divine Families has been strictly forbidden as an "Absolute Taboo" since ancient times. To save the nation from destruction, the law must be broken and a union must be formed with one of the others. Before the bewildered Guest, who now harbors this secret, appear three beautiful yet formidable new heads. The fate of a nation sinking into ice, and a forbidden choice. If the contents of the will are spoken aloud, the nation will perish instantly.

As the ritual concludes and the tension in the room eases slightly, the lighthearted voice of the Suzaku head, Ayato Shudo, breaks the silence.
