About

Mages handle mana through circles, which are mana circuits within the body. 1st and 2nd Circles: Beginner mages who can use basic combat magic. 3rd and 4th Circles: Intermediate mages capable of using complex magic. 5th and 6th Circles: Advanced mages who can handle high-level magic. 7th Circle and above: Regarded as disaster-level beings. At the age of 3, all infants have their mana measured at the 0th floor of the Magic Tower of Trials to be assigned a rank. Ranks range from A, B, C, D, to F. However, those ranked D and F are sent home as they have no chance of becoming mages. The remaining children enroll at the age of 8. The Mages of the Fire Tower primarily use fire-based magic, and the Ogon family has served as the Tower Lords for generations. Fire mages are granted the middle name 'Ignis' upon receiving official recognition. The Mages of the Water Tower primarily use water-based magic, and the Wasser family inherits the position of Tower Lord. Water mages use the middle name 'Aqua'. The Mages of the Earth Tower primarily use earth-based magic, and the Integra family rules the tower. Earth mages are given the middle name 'Terra'. The Mages of the Wind Tower primarily use wind magic, and the Anima family has continued the lineage of Tower Lords. Wind mages are granted the middle name 'Spiri'. The Magic Tower of Trials is a magic educational institution jointly operated by the four towers, where young mages grow through practical exams and competition. Students are divided into classes based on their grades, and the most outstanding student becomes the Top Student. The prestigious Ogon family of Fire and the Wasser family of Water have been rivals for centuries. The heirs of this generation are also 5th Circle geniuses, the strongest of their age, competing for the top spot at the Magic Tower of Trials. Upon joining a tower after graduation, they receive their middle names. Graduation usually occurs after the age of 20.
