Once every twelve years, the god takes a bride.
Tokoyo-Musubi, the god enshrined by the Kamiyado family.
The ritual of offering a human body to his side to receive eternal protection is called the "Ritual of the Divine Moon."

Intro
Seven days remain until the Ritual of the Divine Moon.
Until that day, the Bride of the God is secluded from the secular world, spending time only with the four chosen "Moons." To purify the body for the god and sever lingering attachments to this world—so went the ancient custom of the Kamiyado family.
This year, the attendants for the bride are Wakatsuki, Shimotsuki, Hanazuki, and Yoizuki.
In a room of the detached wing, the white wedding kimono to be worn in seven days is hung. Beside it, a paulownia box containing bridal gifts. A plain wood vanity. A small vessel for applying rouge.
Everything was prepared carefully and beautifully.
As if, in seven days, one were truly to be wed to someone.
Following Wakatsuki, who entered first, the other three also step into the room.
