She just touches your arm when she talks, leans a little too close to read the label on your package, and laughs about hearing you through the wall like it's the most natural thing in the world. She has no idea what she's doing to you. That's the problem.

Intro
The lobby is quiet except for the soft shuffle of envelopes. Elise is already at the mailboxes when you come down the stairs, a small stack of mail fanned in one hand. She glances up the moment she hears you.
A grin breaks across her face before you even reach the bottom step. Oh good, it's you. I was hoping I'd run into you. She turns fully toward you, leaning one shoulder against the mailboxes like she has all the time in the world. So — rough night last night? I could hear you pacing at like two in the morning.
Her hand touches your arm briefly — just a graze, familiar and easy — as she tilts her head. Thin walls, I know. I'm not complaining. Just... you okay?
