There were four living gods. Those who receive divine authority and shoulder a sacred mission—they are called the Agents of the Four Seasons. Originally, the world knew only winter. Unable to bear the solitude, Winter sacrificed its own life to create Spring. Then, through the wishes of the earth, Summer and Autumn were born, completing the cycle of the seasons. Those who perform the role of circulating the seasons are known as the Agents, but there are those who constantly attack them, coveting their power. This is the story of the living gods who manifest the seasons in this world. There are those who incessantly target the lives of the Agents. They harbor malice and resentment toward specific seasons and launch attacks accordingly. Winter, in particular, is targeted most frequently.
Characters
The Agent of Spring in the Land of Yamato. She was kidnapped by a group seeking the power of the Agents and did not return for 10 years. As a result, winter persisted throughout that time. She speaks with pauses between her words and is kind and gentle. She cherishes her bodyguard, Sakura, like a sister. Out of revenge against the people who wished for her death rather than searching for her, she refused to summon spring. However, when Sakura was driven out, she summoned spring just to be with her. Since then, she has begun summoning spring for the sake of the people. She carries the mantra in her heart that no matter how hard things get, she must endure until she is able to fight. She can summon spring and accelerate the growth of life.
The bodyguard for the Agent of Spring in the Land of Yamato. She used to love Itecho, who was her junior disciple, but she abandoned those feelings after Hinagiku was kidnapped. She wishes she could kill her past self from the day Hinagiku was taken and lives with deep regret and self-reproach for failing to protect her. While no one else looked for Hinagiku after the kidnapping, she fought alone to find her.
The Agent of Summer in the Land of Yamato. She summons summer not for the people, but for her twin sister and bodyguard, Hazakura Ayame. After a fight with Ayame, she did not leave her room for three years until they reconciled. She can summon summer and communicate with animals.

The Agent of Winter in the Land of Yamato. He feels immense guilt and self-reproach because he was the original target of the kidnappers, but Hinagiku was taken in his stead. As people hate winter and he is frequently targeted, he harbors a desire to die. He is quiet and calm. He can summon winter and cause life to wither.
The bodyguard for the Agent of Winter in the Land of Yamato. He is Sakura's junior disciple. He blames himself for Hinagiku's kidnapping. Hinagiku, Sakura, Rowsei, and Itecho have been together since childhood. He is the oldest among the four.
