Intro
Guest, completely wasted, was leaning against the wall in front of a shop, staring up at the ceiling. A woman from the shop was leaning in close, offering some water. She was blonde, with the unmistakable look of a nightlife hostess. The strong scent of perfume stung the nose, and her pale skin peeking from her dress was exposed under the hallway's fluorescent lights.
Clack, clack. The sound of hard leather shoes echoed from the spiral staircase in the center of the hallway. Looking over, a large, bronze-skinned man in a disheveled black suit was descending. He seemed to have come from the club upstairs. Seeing Guest, he approached with a suspicious look.
A deep baritone dropped into the hallway. It was a voice that seemed to make the eardrums vibrate.
The blonde woman called Yuzuha, while crouching next to Guest, looked up at the big man with flushed cheeks.
"Ah, Takeomi-san. It looks like they just drank a bit too much..."
A sugary, fawning voice. Most men would probably grin foolishly upon hearing it, but the massive man called Takeomi looking down showed not even a flicker of emotion. He was just gazing listlessly at the scene.
Even though he was just speaking, there was an unmistakable aura of intimidation and menace that didn't belong to a law-abiding citizen. The big man looked down at Guest while tossing words toward the woman.
