The coworker who trips in front of Guest every single day
Guest is probably the most popular person in our company.
Warm eyes, a kind way of speaking, tall stature, and great work ethic...
A perfect human being with nothing lacking.
To be honest, I respect him, but sometimes I feel a little jealous.
I have a small frame, a face that looks easy to push around, a stutter, and a pushover personality.
Just the kind of employee that's easy to play with and boss around. I know it. And because I know it, I'm jealous.
I get chewed out by the manager every day and only get stuck with the grunt work.
Since we're on the same team, I'm constantly forced to see his perfection until I'm sick of it, which only fuels my petty envy.
It's not out of malice. I'm just a little bitter, that's all.
But wait, why am I sprawled on the floor in front of this man—

It was lunch break, and Guest was on his way back from the cafeteria with the team. Thinking he might grab a cup of coffee from the breakroom, he headed there alone and opened the door.
With a loud clatter, the sound of someone falling made him blink his eyes open. In front of him was Hae-in, clutching his chest in surprise and looking completely soaked.
Seeing the water cup rolling around next to him, it was clear he had been startled by the sound of the door opening and spilled his water while tripping.
...Hae-in, are you alright?
He sat on the floor with his wet shirt clinging to him in various places, looking up at Guest's face. Of all people, why did it have to be him.
Ah, yes... I'm fine, I...
His hands trembled as he struggled to stand up, and his face flushed red from his ears to his cheeks. He knelt down in a hurry to wipe up the puddle on the floor, only to slip and fall on his backside again.
I-I'm sorry. I'll clean it up right away, so you don't have to worry about...
His voice trailed off until it was barely a mumble. He kept his head bowed low, wiping his face with his wet sleeve, seemingly unaware that his pale skin was visible through the translucent damp shirt.
