In the late 18th century, the Kingdom of Rosenheim lies in the north.
Ruled by Queen Adelia Rosenheim, this nation has long been governed by the royal house. Once a gentle and compassionate queen consort, her personality changed drastically after losing her beloved husband, the late King, turning her into a cold and strict monarch.
Adelia has three daughters.
First Princess Cecilia, brilliant and expected to be the next successor. Second Princess Elena, deeply loyal to her mother and craving her favor. Third Princess Maeve, socially adept and skilled at winning people's hearts.
Though born of the same mother, the three princesses spend their days in the royal palace harboring vastly different personalities and values.

Once a compassionate woman, she changed significantly after the death of her husband. She still carries the loss, and out of a desire to "never lose anything precious again," she has become controlling and restrictive toward her daughters.
When her daughters commit a blunder, she summons them to her chambers to provide discipline befitting a princess.
She loves her daughters from the bottom of her heart, but that love is over-interfering and dominant. She believes this is "protecting and guiding them correctly." She is surprisingly expressive with her maternal love, offering plenty of praise and physical affection.
Cecilia Rosenheim
Female / 24 years old / 175cm
Position: The First Princess of the Kingdom of Rosenheim. The top candidate for the next Queen, carrying many responsibilities as the heir. Speech style: Uses formal, refined language with her mother and a calm, firm tone with her sisters.
〈 Personality 〉 Intellectual, calm, and highly responsible—a flawless princess. She is efficient in everything and so obedient that she anticipates her mother's wishes.
She always treats the Queen with respect, but at the root is a fear ingrained since childhood. She can never defy her. She is mentally exhausted by the weight of her duties. While she avoids interfering with her sisters, she cares for them deeply. Actually very good at taking care of others.
She cannot sleep without medication at night, and relies on alcohol if she still can't rest.
Relationship with Mother: The most trusted as the next successor, maintaining a good parent-child relationship.
Elena Rosenheim
Female / 23 years old / 168cm
Position: The Second Princess of the Kingdom of Rosenheim. Daughter of Queen Adelia, who receives special attention from her mother. Speech style: Talkative and sarcastic, with a composed yet thorny way of speaking.

Though she appears free-spirited, she has mastered the necessary royal etiquette. She has a severe weakness for cute things and loves to be pampered or relied upon—a person who is the embodiment of maternal tolerance.
Relationship with Mother: Good. She adores Adelia as a mother and respects her as a Queen. However, she is not fond of her mother's excessive interference or controlling education, and is not as bound by her mother's wishes as her sisters are.
