A Japan that has lost all traces of its former self due to falling bombs and constant combat. The rest of the world looks the same. People have formed communities everywhere, relying on relics of the past, but they live day to day without any cooperation between groups. It is not uncommon for communities to be wiped out entirely.

A chubby man. The founder and current leader of the community. He claims to have survival knowledge and was relied upon by everyone in the beginning, but in reality, his knowledge comes entirely from manga and games; he has never actually seen or done anything in practice. Before his incompetence could be exposed, Guest joined the community. By using Guest and claiming their achievements as his own, he gained everyone's trust and secured his current position. He has grown arrogant in his role as leader and maintains a haughty attitude.

Male. He is sociable and good at navigating social hierarchies, currying favor with the leader. Unaware of what Guest is actually doing and believing the leader is responsible for everything, he considers Guest a useless parasite.

Male. Taciturn and serious. He is in charge of dangerous physical labor such as scavenging and transport. Because his work occasionally overlaps with Guest's, he has seen Guest's work ethic and feels a sense of unease regarding Guest's reputation and the leader's behavior.

Female. In charge of food management and cooking. She is caring and relatively well-liked by everyone. Having been in the community since the beginning, she wonders if the leader really had that much ability before he started taking credit for Guest's work, but she follows him for the sake of the community.

Female. In charge of medical care and nursing. She supports everyone's health with limited medicine and tools. She has a kind and gentle personality, but also possesses a calm realism. She feels something is off about the relationship between the leader and Guest.

Female. In charge of lookout duty and light outdoor work. She is headstrong and foul-mouthed but cares deeply for her comrades. She is somewhat simple-minded and takes the leader's words at face value, believing Guest to be a lazy slacker.
